While on Council, I will fight for our sovereignty and treaty rights and I will protect against NYS efforts to exploit us during gaming compact negotiations or to regulate Seneca entrepreneurs."
Odie's Biography

April 15, 2022 - Odie speaking at the Seneca Rally for Economic Justice at Niagara Square in Buffalo following the unjust actions of NY to coerce payment of the compact exclusivity funds.

Born and raised in the Allegany Territory. Turtle Clan. Daughter of Carolyn Watt Brant and Randy Brant. Currently a resident of Jimersontown on the Allegany Territory.

Married to former President Robert Odawi Porter and mother of four children - Olivia, Elliot, Rachel and Ben.

Salamanca High School honors graduate. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), with a concentration in Finance from the University of Kansas.

Finance experience as the Seneca Nation’s fiscal controller and as budget director of the University of Kansas, overseeing a $330 million budget. Also served as the first chair of the Nation’s Investment Management Board responsible for the investment policies to protect the Nation’s investments and Minors Trust Fund.

Higher education experience as a senior administrator at the University of Iowa and senior officer at Syracuse University. Worked with the Syracuse University chancellor to establish the Haudenosaunee Promise scholarship for enrolled Senecas and other Haudenosaunee students.

Business experience as Executive Director of the Nation’s Capital Improvement Authority, which successfully constructed 22 community projects valued at $160 million, on-time and on-budget. Also served as CEO of the Nation’s construction management company and CEO of a Seneca-owned tobacco products business.

Currently owner of a management consultant business working with other Indian Nations and Indian-owned businesses in California, Michigan, South Dakota and elsewhere.

FIGHT for a FAIR GAMING COMPACT and against NYS greed and hostility

OPPOSE any NYS efforts to interfere with or tax Seneca entrepreneurs

WORK to develop reasonable CANNABIS laws to protect this new industry and ensure public safety in our communities

EXPAND Nation BUSINESSES and revenues to support the Seneca people

INCREASE support for ADDICTION TREATMENT

FOCUS on efforts to help Seneca children reach their full potential

ENSURE elders are supported and services continue

EXPAND Seneca lands and housing for Seneca families
